Connect will facilitate healthy relationships between the Austin
body of believers and the refugee community in order to demonstrate Christ's
love in both tangible and relational ways to refugees settling in Austin.

Connect will help the Austin
body of believers:
Recognize the alien, widow and
orphan among us.
Learn how to care for their needs as Christ commands.
Invite them into our family in
all senses of the word; first and foremost into community through Christ.
Refugee
Connect will focus on the relationships and resources needed to both share
Christ's love and be His hands and feet to the Austin refugee community.
Relationships:
because relationships are the only way to understand the challenges refugees
face, respect the values of their cultures and appreciate the blessings they
bring to us, all work of Refugee Connect will focus on developing and nurturing
relationships with and between the:

Austin-area
refugee services providers
Refugees
– both new arrivals and those who have established their home in Austin.
